Is it obvious, or do we need to remind ourselves that what we pay attention to grows, and what we ignore grows too, sometimes, but not in the direction we might want? In this month when we look at the notion of “attention,” what does it mean to actively choose what we pay attention to as something of existential importance and remind ourselves of the discipline of this choice and spiritual practice in our lives?
