Always Just Enough, Always Room for More

11/6/2017

Sunday morning, Rev. Mike Adamek began exploring our Soul Matters theme for November: Abundance.  Abundance means something more and better than just having lots of stuff --- as many of us know, having too much can be more curse than blessing.  So where is the "sweet spot" of Abundance as a virtue?  Rev. Mike's answer was: "Always Just Enough, Always Room For More."  For me those words suggest the point where we have enough, but we don't have so much that it clogs up our lives and prevents us from accepting new things.  Rev. Mike's reflection however, revealed another understanding of "Always Room for More," in which there's always room for more guests to share in our blessings.  For him, he said, Abundance is the point at which our gifts overflow and we feel called to share them with others.
