Belonging is Not Passive

10/6/2019

This morning, Rev. Mike Adamek joined us again to begin our month of reflections on Belonging.  As Mike described his message, "Many Hands Make Light Work,"

"Hard to belong when you are observing from a distance.  Hard to belong when you will only join with others when they must follow your directions alone.   Belonging is easier when you share meaningful tasks that make a difference in your life and in other people’s lives.  Belonging is a function of contributing to worthwhile tasks together. What is it you will share?"

Next Sunday, October 13th:

Adult Forum - 9:15 am
"Brexit," Frank Rycyk
The complexity of the various entities which make up a government without a constitution will be addressed.  Forum attendees are invited to bring in information about why many want to leave the European Union.

Service and Religious Education - 10:30 am
Message: To Be Announced
If you have a joy or concern that you would like to have read during the Service, please submit it by noon on Friday through our website: http://uufjc.org/joys--concerns.html
