Yesterday we were visited by Prof. Cliff Cain of Westminster College, who described what he saw as the three greatest challenges facing religion in the 21st century: Religious Diversity, the interaction of Religion and Science, and Environmental Issues. For the second week in a row we gave a warm welcome to a Christian speaker who even freethinking Unitarians could find plenty of common ground with.

Tuesday, November 19th at 7 pm, Missouri River Regional Library hosts a presentation on the Affordable Care Act with a speaker from Primaris, one of Missouri's authorized Healthcare Navigator organizations. Contact Madeline Matson.
Wednesday, Nov. 20th is the Transgender Day of Remembrance, in honor of Transgender persons who have been victims of hate crime. No local events as far as we know, just a notable date.
Thursday, November 21st at 7 pm, Columbia Area NOW meets at the Hy-Vee Restaurant at Broadway and Fairview in Columbia. Contact Sue Gibson.
Friday, Nov. 22nd at 5 pm is our regular monthly Salvation Army work day. Contact Bob Antweiler if you can help provide or serve food for those in need.
At 1:30 pm on Saturday, November 23rd, and Sunday, November 24th, the Art Committee will be installing a new display at the Fellowship with the theme of Winter Birds. Contact Patt Behler if you want to help out.
