Volunteers and donations are also needed for Project Homeless Connect. We have a box at the Fellowship for donations, which are due September 26th. The event itself takes place October 13th For more information, contact Patt Behler.
Monday, September 14th at 7 pm, we will begin our new UUFJC Lecture Series! Our previously-announced speaker is unable to make it, but we are privileged to host Seth Bauman of the Juvenile Justice Association. Setup for the event begins at 6 pm and help is appreciated. This Thursday, September 17th at 6 pm, American Association of University Women holds its first meeting of the academic year with a dinner and social at Meadowbrook Country Club. In October and November, AAUW will meet on the third Thursday of the month at UUFJC. For upcoming programs and more information, contact Charlotte Parsons.
The Worship Service Committee meets next Sunday, September 20th at 9 am. All are welcome to come and help plan our upcoming services. Contact Alexis Engelbrecht-Villafañe.

This Tuesday, September 15th at 7 pm, Missouri River Regional Library will host a talk on "Welcoming Congregations." "Three Mothers of Gay Sons," the women who started the Open Ministry at Columbia’s Missouri United Methodist Church, and Reverend Michelle Scott-Huffman from Jefferson City’s Table of Grace will discuss their inclusive faith communities. This Thursday, September 17th at 7 pm, Columbia Area NOW (National Organization for Women) meets at the Hy-Vee Restaurant at Broadway and Fairview in Columbia. Non-members and new members are welcome. Contact Sue Gibson.
