In that vein, Rev. Nancy talked about the proposed revisions to the Unitarian Universalist Association's Article II, which contains our UU Principles. The Principles are a beloved inheritance of our UU tradition, but they and that tradition were always meant to keep growing and evolving. In considering possible changes to Article II, let us be open to change, but also thoughtful and reflective about whether the proposed changes are what we need.

The restoration of our building after our recent fire continues, although we still expect it to be some time before we can move back. If you have any questions about the state of the restoration, please contact our board president, Rich Burdge.
This Thursday, October 5th at 6:30 pm, Jefferson City Interfaith Climate Action meets at Immaculate Conception Church, Pleus Hall. Contact Rich Burdge for more information.
This Thursday, October 5th at 7 pm, we are invited to join our neighbors at First UU of Springfield for their monthly “Date with Death Club” via Zoom. An independent Insight Meditation group taught by Joe McCormack meets at our building Thursday nights at 7 pm, when possible. Zoom may also be available. For more information, contact Bob Antweiler.
Next Sunday, October 8th, our Intergenerational Book Study meets at 2 pm at the Regnier home. This month's selection: Turtles All the Way Down by John Green. For location details and more information, contact Betty Cooper or Emma Regnier.
Our building (when available) is reserved by community groups Wednesdays and Saturdays starting at 6 pm and Tuesdays and Thursdays starting at 5:30 pm. If you have access to our building, please allow privacy at these times.

This Friday, October 6th, Missouri River Regional Library presents their First Friday Film at 7 pm in their Art Gallery. This month's selection: "Official Secrets." Based on true events, this film follows Katherine Gun, a British intelligence agent, and her decision to leak a shocking memo to the press, resulting in an international firestorm and exposing a vast political conspiracy.
