Those attending also had a chance to consider and share our own places in our covenant. What will we each commit to bring to our Fellowship?
What about you?
Next Sunday, October 2nd:
Adult Forum - 9:15 am
"Seeking Socrates," Betty Cooper
Participants will discuss an essay by Christopher Phillips.
Service and Religious Education - 10:30 am
Message: "The Art of Being Present, Open, and Welcoming," Rev. Mike Adamek
Rev. Mike will begin to explore our Soul Matters theme for October: Hospitality. Hospitality is a way to live each day to its fullest. It is more than a formal way to deal with strangers. It is being actively receptive to the possibility of real engagement each and every day we live. It is as much looking inward as it is reaching outward. It is a path worth walking.
If you have a joy or concern that you would like to have read during the Service, please submit it by noon on Friday through our website: http://uufjc.org/joys--concerns.html
