- Honesty: Resist lying to others and, hardest of all, to ourselves. Face our pain rather than hiding from it, and be willing to realize when we have caused pain to others.
- Empathy: Show genuine interest in others, listen to them, and be willing to accept their gifts without internal drama about how to even the score.
- Fidelity: Be more loyal to the people in our lives than to our own desires --- respect those places that others can't go with you, the places where relationship cannot be cultivated.
If you would also like to keep up with our neighbors at the UU Church of Columbia, the sermon from their service this morning is now available to view online: https://youtu.be/a7PTexnw6pw
