Message: "A Sanctuary Church," Rev. Chris Jimmerson (video)
First UU of Austin, Texas became a sanctuary church for an immigrant facing deportation to a country where her life would be in danger should she be returned to it. In this message from 2015, Rev. Chris Jimmerson explored the tradition and the state of the sanctuary movement. How might it transform both the person given sanctuary and the faith community giving it?
If you have a joy or concern that you would like to have read during the Service, please submit it by noon on Friday through our website: http://uufjc.org/joys--concerns.html
