UUFJC Newsletter, "Flame on the Water" September 2022
Covid Update: Our county's Covid level has already receded to "Medium," and so UUFJC policy no longer calls for masks to be required. Masks are now optional at indoor UUFJC events. Please feel welcome to continue wearing them if you prefer; we will have free masks available.
Sunday, September 4th:
This morning, Rev. Mike Adamek began our month of focus on Belonging. We tend to think of Belonging as a social feeling of being welcomed and understood in a group, but we can also experience an internal sense of our own belonging to the universe and ourselves. Each of us might tend toward one or the other of these poles. How can we treasure the kind of belonging that comes most naturally to us and also seek balance between inner and outer belonging? (Note, this is not a summary of Rev. Mike's sermon, but based on themes he had planned to explore.)
Next Sunday, September 11th:
Adult Forum - 9:15 am
"9/11," Bob Boldt
Boldt will offer stimulating ideas about the significance of this date.
