In that spirit, Sunday was also the beginning of "Guest At Your Table," the annual fundraising drive for the Unitarian Universalist Service Committee. According to their website:
"UUSC advances human rights through grassroots collaboration. In more than a dozen countries throughout the world, UUSC fosters social justice and works toward a world free from oppression. UUSC’s innovative approaches and measurable impact — in promoting economic justice, bolstering environmental justice, and protecting rights at risk — are grounded in the belief that all people have inherent power, dignity, and rights."
Donation envelopes and boxes are available at the Fellowship. along with the "Stories of Hope" booklet, containing more information about people helped by UUSC. You can also learn more and donate at uusc.org.
