Spiritual Enthusiasm

4/10/2016

Today, our own Sharon Morgan delivered our Sunday sermon on the topic of "Spiritual Enthusiasm."  We come from many different backgrounds, and our unique experiences determine just what speaks to each of us, what makes us feel alive and fills us with awe.  For many of us, we didn't convert to Unitarian Universalism so much as discover that it offered a home for our unique selves, but Sharon called on us to do more with that home than use it as a resting place.  By being mindful about how we spend our time, money, and attention, by exploring beyond our comfort zones, by finding positive sources to turn to when we need a boost, we can take a new level of responsibility for nurturing the spiritual enthusiasm that will enrich our lives and our communities.

Our annual pledge drive continues!  See our Treasurer, Bob Antweiler.  Thank you to everyone who pledges; this is a big help to us as we plan for the year ahead.

We are also coming up on the Fellowship’s 25th Anniversary this May!  We would like to celebrate with a special event, but we need people to plan it and make it happen!  Bob Antweiler will not be leading the effort, but he’s agreed to be a contact to start coordinating people, so see him if you want to get involved.

Lisa Sanning has volunteered to organize our annual Rummage Sale!  She is currently working on selecting a date and would like your input.  When the time comes, we will need lots of volunteers for the sale, so stay posted, and many thanks to Lisa for taking the lead!

We need an Adult Forum leader for April 24th.  See Laura Gilkey.
