Message: "This UU Life: Influential Men"
Next Sunday's service will honor the men who have influenced our lives: family, friends, or famous. We will have space to display pictures and written tributes, members will share prepared reflections, and attendees will have a chance to share the names of men who have inspired them.
If you have a joy or concern that you would like to have read during the Service, please submit it by noon on Friday through our website: http://uufjc.org/joys--concerns.html
Plus Children's RE --- Volunteers Needed!
UUFJC News and Events this week:
We need drivers who can give rides to services once a month to members and friends who need them. This is an important part of being a welcoming Fellowship, and some of our current volunteer drivers need some time off due to personal circumstances. Please contact Bob Antweiler if you can help!
We need Adult Forum leaders for July 10th and July 17th. Please contact Laura Gilkey.
This Tuesday, June 21st, the Salvation Army is scheduled to come pick up our leftover Rummage Sale items. We will need help afterward to put our building back together, and regular weekly events will resume after that. Contact Lisa Sanning for more information about helping out.
The Transgender Support Group meets this Thursday, June 23rd at 7 pm. Contact Ari Morse.
This Friday, June 24th, our monthly Salvation Army meal is canceled. Contact Bob Antweiler to volunteer in the months ahead.
Friday evening at 7 pm is the monthly Last Friday Documentary film. Contact Cinthy Wilcox.
Community Events this week:
This Thursday, June 23rd at 7 pm in their Art Gallery, Missouri River Regional Library hosts "Dementia Conversations." Conversations with family members about dementia and their changing behaviors can be difficult including going to the doctor, deciding when to stop driving, and making legal and financial plans. Alyson Campbell of the Greater Alzheimer’s Association will offer helpful tips to the ice, reduce the stress, and get the support you and your family need. Contact Madeline Matson.
This week, Capitol City Cinema presents the 2016 Sundance Shorts Tour (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday). For showtimes and more information, visit capitolcitycinema.org.
