Freeing or Awareness to understand our world and experiences,
Association to combine those materials in new ways,
Expression to act on our insights and connect with others,
Evaluation to understand the impact,
and Perseverance, because change always takes time.
Joy is a river, Rev. Nancy said, and as an ancient saying goes, "You can't step in the same river twice." We will make mistakes, and those moments cannot be brought back and redone. To keep floating the river of joy means letting go --- forgiving ourselves, accepting that we can't control the world or others, and doing the best we can in each new moment, because the world needs us now.
