Returning to this familiar place coincides with the start of our month of reflections on Transformation, which might sound ironic, but we're Unitarian Universalists. As Pastor Susan Panttaja noted in the message we shared via video, the history of our faith is a journey of transformation, and one marked by faith *in* transformation. Locally, our recovery from the fire is not just a matter of making it "like it never even happened," but envisioning what we want our space to become. In our broader faith community, we are preparing to consider changes to the UUA's Article II, including our beloved Principles, but with our rooted faith in transformation and growth, we can consider with clear eyes. We say (sometimes sing) that "revelation is not sealed" --- the good and sacred continuously reveal themselves, and we keep transforming our faith to meet the moment, learn, and grow.

Attention artists! UUFJC's congregational banner was irreparably damaged in the fire. We are in need of a new banner, perhaps based on the old one, or perhaps using a new design that represents our congregation and community. If you are interested in creating a new banner, contact our Art Committee chair, Patt Behler.
